UNICEF is the leading United Nations organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of every child. Its work covers key areas such as health, nutrition, education, child protection, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and humanitarian response. UNICEF works with governments, development partners, communities, and young people to ensure that every child can survive, develop, and reach their full potential, with special attention given to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged.

UNICEF Equatorial Guinea works to promote and protect the rights of children and adolescents through interventions in health, education, child protection, nutrition, and adolescent participation. As part of its mandate, UNICEF implements awareness-raising, social mobilization, advocacy, and results dissemination activities to strengthen knowledge and engagement among government institutions, development partners, donors, media organizations, and the general public in support of children's rights.
To strengthen institutional communication, increase the visibility of programme results, and ensure the effective dissemination of key messages related to its programmes and campaigns, UNICEF Equatorial Guinea is seeking the support of an Online Volunteer with experience in graphic design. This collaboration will contribute to the development of high-quality visual materials aligned with UNICEF’s corporate visual identity and adapted to various platforms and audiences.

The Online Volunteer will work in close coordination with the Communication Section and will be provided with the information, guidance, and reference materials necessary to develop the requested products. This assignment will contribute to enhancing the visual quality of institutional communication materials and improving the communication of UNICEF’s results and impact in Equatorial Guinea.
In addition, this experience will provide the Online Volunteer with an opportunity to develop and strengthen professional skills in graphic design, visual communication, institutional branding, and communication for development within an international organization committed to promoting and protecting children's rights.

Under the supervision of the Communication Officer at UNICEF Equatorial Guinea, the Online Volunteer will support the design and production of visual materials aimed at strengthening institutional communication, enhancing programme visibility, and promoting key messages related to the rights of children and adolescents.
Specific tasks will include:

• Design engaging and high-quality infographics to present data, statistics, programme results, and key messages tailored to different audiences.

• Develop graphic content for social media platforms, including static posts, carousels, banners, and other digital formats for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.

• Design and layout reports, brochures, fact sheets, technical documents, and institutional publications in accordance with UNICEF branding guidelines.

• Create graphic materials for campaigns, events, and awareness-raising activities, including banners, roll-ups, invitations, certificates, and other promotional products.

• Adapt and update existing communication materials in line with UNICEF’s needs and corporate visual identity standards.

• Create simple illustrations, icons, and graphic elements to complement communication materials when required.

• Ensure visual consistency, technical quality, and the correct application of UNICEF’s visual identity across all products developed.

• Review and incorporate feedback and comments received from the Communication Section throughout the validation process.

• Organize and submit both editable and final files in the formats required by UNICEF.

• Maintain regular communication with the designated focal point to coordinate activities, monitor progress, and ensure the timely delivery of all outputs

UNICEF will provide the Online Volunteer with background materials, content, photographs, branding guidelines, and all necessary information for the development of the requested products. To facilitate coordination and progress monitoring, the volunteer is expected to be available for virtual meetings through Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or other agreed platforms.
This assignment offers a valuable opportunity to contribute directly to the promotion of children's rights while strengthening professional skills in graphic design, visual communication, and communication for development within an international environment.
